~ The Sacred Music Chorale ~ was founded in 1999 by a small group of singers from University Presbyterian Church, Seattle, to “sing the great music of the Christian church”. The Chorale now consists of over 50 choristers hailing from Christian churches of many denominations from all over the Puget Sound region. For the past seven years, the Chorale has presented weekend concerts twice yearly, before Christmas and in early June, at a variety of churches in the Puget Sound region. In 2005, the Chorale presented Summer concerts in Silverdale on the Kitsap Peninsula and Sequim on the Olympic Peninsula. In April 2006, it performed Mozart’s Requiem at Marine View Presbyterian Church, Tacoma and at Trinity Parish Church, Episcopal, Seattle, where it has been artist-in-residence for 5 years.
